NASA’s New Horizons Reaches a Rare Space Milestone

Today, the New Horizons spacecraft achieved a significant milestone, officially surpassing 50 AU (astronominal units) in distance from the Sun. The KinetX Space Navigation and Flight Dynamics team continues to navigate the spacecraft by monitoring tracking data to reconstruct the spacecraft’s trajectory in the past, and predict its trajectory into the future.
